Tan Baby Blankets

If you like the earthy look of tan baby blankets (or khaki or sand), Sheep Dreamzzz has a number of options in both cotton- and wool-based versions. We’re a non-profit that trains women to knit in Nicaragua, the poorest country in Central America, and in the 2+ years we have been doing this, they have become expert knitters. The quality is excellent, and when you buy a blanket, you are helping a woman (typically a young mom) to feed her family.

Here’s what we have at this time. Click any image to go to that blanket type. From there you may need to reselect the color. Below the images are some other links we think you might find helpful. Content percentages refer to the main body of the blanket.

Tan or Sand Color Baby Blanket

Comfort Chunky “Sand”

Our original blankets, and still a great one for solid weight combined with softness. Approximately 24 inches by 24 inches. A lot of kids will trip over a larger blanket once they start walking. 57% cotton, 28% polyester, 15% nylon

Tan wool-blend baby blanket

Wooly Warmth “Tan/Sand”

Very few of these left. Also very soft and machine washable. 25% superwash wool, 75% acrylic

Lightweight cotton-based knitted baby blanket

Light & Cozy “Khaki”

This is a very popular khaki-colored blanket that we expect to continue making for years to come. It’s lightweight for year-round use. 45% cotton, 55% acrylic. Also checkout the “vanilla” one in this group (it has tan sheep!)

We also have a couple of blankets in our Wooly Warmth section that are earthy, with tans and other colors mixed in. Very soft!

These are 25% superwash wool, 75% acrylic.
