The Story of Sheep Dreamzzz
In 2012, Steve and Sandy Jacoby moved to Nicaragua to try to help in one of the poorest countries in Latin America. After having their first grandchild in 2017, Sandy knitted a sheep blanket and got the idea to teach women in Nicaragua to make them as well.
There are currently about 20 women who come regularly and have become experienced knitters. Almost all are young mothers with no other means of support. They receive all of the profit from their work and are very grateful to be able to feed their families during very tough economic times.
Sheep Dreamzzz, which is part of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Sheep Not Goats, has received great recognition, including on TV, in the newspapers, and on radio. watch, read & listen
